Description: Hello, We would like to get a logo done and a favicon for the Google Play store (which is also the app’s icon on the android apps screen) for our new application ready to be released in the following 3 weeks. The application is a gym workout tracking app. The name of the application is Shape.

Be creative about this, we don’t necessarily want this to be a dumbbell/kettlebell or someone with muscles. SHAPE is quite broad and can be very abstract. We want it, more than anything, to stand out and be easy to remember. You don’t need to link it to any gym specific concept, but it’s also not exclusive, you can, if you want to. The number 1 goal of the icon is to stand out when you scroll through your app’s screen so you can easily identify it and click on it.

The second goal of the icon is to serve as part of the brand identity, which means it will appear on the website, instagram and the application itself. However we are not too hopeful that people will remember us by the logo, but by the name and the functionality of the app and therefore, we want it to stylish. So, when you see the logo and the icon the first time, I want it to inspire the quality of the app itself. We focused a lot on the UI of the app, see screeshots below, and we want the logo to match that quality.

The app’s icon will be the first thing the user that downloads the app will see. Even if it’s for a quick glance, we want it to look great and not make them think, “oh, another shitty workout app”, but we want it to think, “oh, these guys are different”.

TL;DR: Make it simple, make it abstract, make it a shape that is simple and easy to remember, do not make it a gym thing (unless you think it looks amazing)
