About the Vendor Manager Position
Position type: Full-time
Location: Remote job (America, Europe, Middle East, Australia, and Asia)
Reports to: CEO
We are looking for a Vendor Manager skilled in negotiations to join our global remote team at Day Translations. As the Vendor Manager you will be expected to handle the negotiation processes with vendors and freelancers with the objective of achieving better rates and prices for our projects budgets. You will also facilitate and maintain vendor relationships by negotiating contracts, creating vendor standards, and finding the best available vendors. The main type of vendors we work with are freelancers that provide us with various services for our organization.
Job duties and responsibilities:
1. Negotiate with new and existing vendors and freelancers their rates and prices that allows us to hire them within our budget.
2. Find and research the best vendors based on rates, prices, and quality available for a given project.
3. Establish the guidelines and standards we require to accomplish our objectives and to monitor the vendors to ensure these policies are being followed.
4. Hire new vendors by conducting interviews and meeting with new vendors.
5. Maintain and cultivate relationships with vendors by communicating with them frequently and checking their satisfaction levels with us.
Requirements:
1. Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Vendor Manager or similar position
2. The ability to multi-task by interacting with several vendors every day and manage many different daily tasks.
3. Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, business or similar field is preferred.
4. The ability to negotiate in a professional and effective way the rates, prices, and contracts with new and existing vendors and freelancers.
5. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills in English (100% both written and spoken)
Candidates should be prepared to take additional tests/interviews.
