Description: Washington DC based start up company offering luxury gifting services is looking for a competent Public Relations (PR) Specialist to shape and protect our corporate image in ways that promote our business, values and mission. You’ll be responsible for maintaining media relations and collaborating with marketing teams in promotional activities.If you are top-notch Public Relations Specialist who’s been waiting for the right opportunity, we have the stage set and we need someone who can shine and deliver!

We expect to see candidates who can impress us with their copywriting and presentation skills. We’ll be on the lookout for experience in corporate communications, project management and social media. Throw a lot of enthusiasm and a pleasant personality into the mix and you’ll be our ideal candidate.

The goal is to maintain positive public awareness of the company and its brand. We want to target outlets in local, national and trade media and individual media members who influence our industry and customers and you will set up, manage and maintain media lists specific to our goals. Your press releases must be newsworthy to generate attention with strategic content that appeals to reporters and editors. Also, you will add photos and videos to create a more interactive multimedia experience for journalists and create press kits that offer quick, valuable information about our company and resources.
We strongly believe in our luxurious and innovative products and we would love to see them in the hands of celebrities and influencers so you will interact with assistants and gatekeepers in order to reach the goal.

Responsibilities
- Formulate PR plans and strategies
- Enhance the company’s voice and presence through online and offline channels
- Manage media relations and requests
- Write press releases, speeches and other PR copy
- Plan and supervise events, fairs, conferences etc.
- Support the implementation of promotional plans
- Present solutions in times of PR crisis
- Facilitate the resolution of disputes with the public or external vendors
- Lead survey initiatives and analyze public opinion

Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong copywriting and content creation skills
- Positive, motivated, manage time efficiently
- Able to multitask and monitor several projects and accounts on a daily basis
- Able to work well under pressure
- Professional and confident public speaker
- Takes initiative to develop new strategies and outside-the-box ideas for social media working with our social media manager
- Able to mentor and supervise team members
- Excellent client relations skills
- Able to work independently or in a team
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, business or related field
- Previous experience in PR or related field preferably working with high end retail clients
- Excellent computer skills
- Confident presentation skills and attention to detail
- Passion for our products and philosophy
- Personal acquaintances with celebrities and influencers gatekeepers preferred

Actually, we are so meticulous that even the shipping boxes are completely customized, so the wow factor kicks in directly from the hands of the postman. We will have a great variety of gifts with different price points for every need, and we are also designing an ultra-luxury line (The Royal Treatment) to surprise who seems to have it all already. Also, a unique concept store is in the plans.
