Rebels is a professional social network aimed at taking on LinkedIn by being the go-to platform for professional development for the upcoming workforce, that is generation Z.
today’s generation (GenZ) is starting to graduate and enter the workforce, with a totally different persona than their older counterparts, they’re not afraid to voice their opinions, lobby for a better world or take on non-traditional jobs such as professional gaming, YouTube personality and so on..
Teenagers and youth in general, are eager to establish themselves professionally to make change, find a job and prove themselves, but have difficulty in doing so as the older generation overshadows and underestimate their abilities.
Currently Version 1.0 of rebels offers users the ability to create a profile, not just any profile, but a professional one with personalization aspects that can act as an online CV. What sets it apart from the competition is its structure and elements that allows you to demonstrate your uniqueness and personality.
Therefore, Rebels is for everyone; rebels is for every individual that seeks to better themselves through professional means and leverage their uniqueness into strength.
To continue rebels mission, I require a Designer/ PHP developer to design & implement a new feature on the platform
The tasks including but not limited to:
1. create company user type, design and implement company profile accordingly
2. carry out research to determine what brands and companies want to showcase about themselves to appeal to Generation Z and stand out (for the company profile, so it looks cool and sexy, informative and logical)
3. design(UX/UI) and implement a “jobs board feature” with filters so users may find jobs, and companies to post said jobs, complete with required functions and screens such as apply with my profile + short message, upload cv + short message, location, etc.
4. implement a payment method based on proposed subscription model
5. implement the subscription steps, and settings (cancel, renew, etc)
6. create a search functionality so users may look at profiles, companies, and job posts
7. investigate and fix an issue (some profiles are stuck in a loading loop)
8. make sure the platform scales correctly on all browsers, mobiles and PC
9. integrate a chat system (sendbird.com) or suggest a different API for messaging (with required screens & functions)
10. do some changes on the onboarding
11. add connect/ follow user/company (with the required screens and functions such as view current connections/followers)
12. add notification system
13. display application number on job post (for statistics)
14. ensure only signed up users can apply to jobs by redirecting non sign-ups to register page when they click apply
15. implement appropriate user settings, (delete account), email verifications
16. add appropriate footer links (privacy notice, press kit, etc.)
17. create onboarding based on the current onboarding but for companies
18. enforce sign ups to add their country, gender and age
19. ensure current techstack can handle and accommodate the current tasks
20. upload the current and future codebase to GitHub
21. ensure the platform remains a PWA
The feature is to be built natively with no third party tools (builders)
