VSTO developer with word addin experience - plugin no loading

Description: We have a WORD plugin built using Visual studio tools for office - VSTO. We upgraded the plugin from using .net 2.0 to .net 4 when Microsoft changed the architecture of Office 365. The plugin has been working nicely for sometime but recently when trying to install it on a new pc it is failing to load.

We are getting the following error:
Load Behaviour: Not loaded. A runtime error occurred during the loading of the COM Add-in.

And the plugin sits in the inactive plugins.

We need to find out why this is no longer loading successfully. I am presuming Microsoft have done thing within an update which has caused the issue. Interestingly enough the plugin originally installed continues to work but a new installation of the plugin errors.

I need to get this fixed, Speaking to my previous developer who cannot help they have said we are looking for:

Someone who has VSTO experience mainly with word addin experience would help.
