- This is a simple program that will read the files in a directory and rename or copy the files to another directory with a slightly different name. It could also put a copy of the file with the new name in the same directory.
If the file is A03APBCD????.???, here is the name of the new file P03BCD????.???.
Here is the rule. 1) delete the 1st and 4th character and 2) move the 5th character to the 1st position.
I have to change this format on 1,384 files, so need to do it automatically. The files can either be renamed in their existing directory, or copied to another directory with the new names.
