Description
PLEASE, PLEASE do NOT contact me unless you are an experienced programmer. I am almost finsihed with PPH. I have had too many people contacting me who are "not very good", to put it mildly. Please only contact me if you are an experienced programmer, thanks. Mike

I am looking for a technical person to help me, occasionally. Usually I build my own “proof of concept” which will be full of holes, but which will demonstrate something. i.e. instead of using a powerpoint to show something, I prefer to use a real, hands-on, live working demonstration.
The problem with that is that my PoC will not be enterprise grade. It will not be secure. It will not be scalable.
It also takes me several days to learn something that an experienced technical person will do a lot quicker, and more effectively.
Right now, I am working on an IoT PoC. I do not want to be locked-in (too much) to any specific supplier, so I am trying not to use too many “friendly company specific” tools. E.g. AWS SDK’s.
Having said that there comes a point, in this PoC where I am going to use AWS. OK, so what’s in my solution, so far, and what’s the AIM?
Endpoints. I am using Raspberrypi 4’s, and the client is Node-RED. I like Node-RED, because there is a lot of learning material out there.
Messaging. I am using MQTT. It’s lightweight, and I like it.
Broker/Cloud. I am using AWS, IoT Core.
Database. I am using the AWS DynamoDB. I am now getting locked-in to AWS. But in the past, I have built things where the DB and App run on my laptop, but people want everything in “the cloud” and AWS seems a good choice. Or should I say, it’s what I am using. Too late to change that.
Storage is AWS S3.
In terms of analytics. Not quite got there yet. But that will be whatever AWS offer, that easily integrates with all of the above.
Once I have all that working, I’ll export data to an external website, using HTTP/RESTful commands. That will be a dashboard. I want it to be a “read/write” dashboard, or maybe two different Dashboards. One where someone can maybe only view data, and a second where a system admin, or privileged user can send write commands to the app, or to the IoT endpoints.
The Raspberrypi’s will be replaced, eventually by something industrial. Those industrial devices will then connect to sensors, and PLCs.
If you are a very experienced technical person, I will be very pleased to work with you, on an occasional basis.
Thanks
Mike
