- Coding revisions needed in Social Quotient system
Below are 5 changes on which you should base your dollar bid. Programmers will see that most of these changes are simply replacing existing text sections.
1. On the first SQ setup page www.social-quotient.info/socialquotient/setup/ change this sentence:
WHEN YOU ARE FINISH ADDING YOUR MEMBERS CLICK "SAVE MY GROUP LIST AND SEND EMAIL AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE"
change to:
WHEN YOU HAVE FINISHED ADDING YOUR MEMBERS, CLICK THE BOTTOM THE BLUE SENTENCE.
2. Ignore the Names and Emails section of item 1, but click on the blue sentence at bottom to get to the next page. On on that page's top right, change: Click to set your QUIZ DATE to the rest of this paragraph: "Click HERE to set your QUIZ DATE. You will then see a calendar of the current month with today's date in green. Click on a Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday in the following week. Use it to set your in-classroom SQ quiz date. That quiz will take about 20 minutes. Students who are absent on the SQ quiz day can make their SQ marks on Thursday or Friday."
3. Please add a similar block getting to a current month calendar: " Click HERE to set the day that SQ quiz results are emailed to students. The teacher/ leader and the head counselor will be emailed the same day a full set of the SQ Reports for individual students. It is strongly recommended that teachers mark the Saturday following the classroom quiz date for sending out all the SQ reports."
4. Please revise the code for the top left block of data of item 3 above. Currently, it replaces the texts such as ZIP code and Your email with what the teacher enters. Please keep the initial text along with what the teacher enters, preferably in a different color.
5. In the SQ code, add an email to to the teacher (Your email) - to be sent on the day of the classroom quiz (text to be developed later by me).
After the above changes are made, I (the SQ system originator) will do a test, acting as 15 students marking their classmates. Hopefully all will work as planned, including a SQ report emailed to each student. They should look like the example at https://vansloan.wixsite.com/social-quotient/sq-report ) on the second calendar day of item 3 above . That part of the SQ code calculations seems to be OK. When the above 5 points work, I can release to the programmer the balance due via PeoplePerHour. In the future there will be more SQ coding work needed, such as adding a credit card payment system.
