The Key of Productive Cooperation With A Remote Team

Posted 17 September 2019

Are you an employer looking for a good remote team? Or maybe you have already found it and don’t know how to build effective cooperation? If yes, this article is for you.

A lot of entrepreneurs face the problem of unsuccessful cooperation with teams. This could be caused by different reasons. You must know that finding and hiring a good team is not the end. The most interesting and important part of your cooperation starts right after that. We wanna show you important points to avoid this problem. Let’s get it!

    1. Motivation

I guess, everyone knows that motivation is the best way to achieve a success. No one works better than motivated and inspired people. That’s why, before you start to discuss the working process - set a goal. A strong and a clear aim. For example, if you wanna have the online shop set up, don’t say just: “You should build a good online shop for me.” Try to rehash: “I want you to build a great online shop. I wanna it to be successful, increasingly supplemented with new customers. Moreover, I want it to be one of the most popular online shops in this field. I believe we can do it with you, as you are a high-skilled and responsible team. Let’s do it!” Such phrases not to only motivate the employees, they make them feel more responsible for the result and they make them feel involved into something really significant.

    2. Clear communication

Communicate with your team as much as you need. If they have some questions - answer them. The questions are important as they help to clear all the details (try to be always online). Besides, we recommend you to arrange video conferences.

Build the trust between you and the team. Be honest and fair-minded. Be able to both preconize and critique.

One thing which is also important is feedback. Check if the employees completely understand what you want and listen to them. Who knows, maybe they have some ideas, which will be able to make your project even better than you thought. Experienced specialists know what they are talking about.

     3. SOD

When starting the working process, be strict in your demands. Each member and the team in general must know the deadlines, the rules of the work etc. Choose right tools for controlling the working process. You can use time trackers or whatever you want. Don’t forget that all the timescales should fit the complexity of the given task.

So, we guess successful cooperation is based on three basic principles:

  • Motivation
  • Communication
  • SOD

But that’s not the end! In addition, here are some other useful tips for you:

1) Contact with the team leader

Build honest communication with the leader. In case you have some problems, be sure you have a reliable person who will be in charge of them.

2) Think in detail

Before giving the task, think of it very carefully. No employee won’t be glad to redo their work, when they are almost at the finish.

3) Authority

4) Be humane

However you should be strict, don’t overegg the pudding. Remember: motivate but not push.

5) Loyalty

If you cooperated with a really good team, which gave you an incredible result and pleasant cooperation, - choose it the next time you need some project to be done. Both employers and employees are recommended to deal with tried-and-true people.

Well, that’s it! Pay attention to these tips when you organize the working process with your team. Good luck!
