- We’re looking for art for the release of our first album.
You choose typeface, design, etc, based on what you think fits the album. We’ve got two preferences: 1) there must be some space between the album art and the music - i.e., if the album were about the Power Rangers, we wouldn’t want the Power Rangers on the album cover, and 2) we want the listener to first have an emotional reaction to the art, followed by questions about the art from things like hidden symbols or other artistic choices that you put in, think Frida Kahlo’s “Tree of hope, Remain Strong” (though not necessarily her style).
Artist name: Alex & The People. Album title: Boys Will Be Boys. Artist / album name does *not* have to appear on album art. We leave that choice up to you.
As part of the agreement we are requesting full art for CD, Vinyl, and Internet (e.g., Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, Instagram, Facebook, etc). It can all be based off of the same theme, so the final art products don’t necessarily have to be totally different pieces of art. All final files shared must be in appropriate sizes and formats to post online and to go to print.
Our current website is not indicative of design preferences, it is merely a placeholder for now.
