- The story
A talented young writer created a fascinating 13-episode-long anime taking the reader to the imaginary city of Jujunoka. The story describes the heroic fight of 6 high-school students (five girls and a boy) against evil, ancient forces that they barely understand. Throughout life-threatening moments, shared-losses and personal sacrifices we get to know six very complex and different characters. Along the episodes we learn more and more about the magical world that few can see in Jujunoka, while witnessing how the bond of six people who previously had little in common grow stronger due to the shared sense of responsibility.
The job would be the following:
Read parts of/the full story and propose some visuals for 1.) the "shrine" 2.) one or more of the main characters. The illustrator would work closely with the writer.
The writer is not a professional "anime" writer, this is his love project. Consequently, preference would be given to a talented (but not necessarily professional) illustrator, who is driven by the possibility to build up the visuals of a fantasy world from scratch.
The work should be ready by the beginning of October, where it might be used to promote the anime during the ComicCon in New York.
