- I am the exhibit designer for an exhibit on surfing in Hawaii. We are building a surfing simulator for the exhibit. The surfboard interface will send serial data into Unity about the pitch, yaw, and rotation.
What we need is:
1) A standing wave, textured to look like it is breaking.
2) A surfboard with an attached camera, controlled by the serial data
3) An attract screen, that explains how to play
4) Tilt left and you ride a left breaking wave, tilt right to go right.
5) The game play is about using the rotation, pitch, and yaw to stay on the wave.
6) If a player exceeds the boundaries, they wipe out.
7) After 90 seconds the wave diminishes to a ripple and the surfer "wins".
8) A reset period, to give the next visitor a chance to get on.
9) the wave should exist on a large ocean with a distant tropical backdrop.
