- Hello,
This project is for design of packaging artwork (bottle label and printed carton) for an anti hair fall oil, based on Ayurveda.
There are 3 broad design themes for this.
1. Ultra modern -
This theme requires a packaging artwork that is very modern, minimalist and makes use of only text/typography. A good reference would be the RX protein bar (attached), which lists the ingredients out. This product has a fairly robust ingredient story (which will be shared upon acceptance of project). The brand logo is ready, so it just has to be placed on the packaging. The lemon glyph in attached artwork has to be replaced by a vector of the ingredients in our product (this has to be sourced by you).
2. Modern theme -
This theme requires a packaging artwork that combines typography with glyphs. A reference would be the OGX cosmetic range (attached). The text that is to be put up will be shared upon acceptance of project. You will however have to source a good glyph to use as background for the text. This glyph will have to be based on ingredients of the product or the ayurveda proposition of the product. 3 options of glyphs will have to be provided.
3. This is a fairly straightforward exercise. We have a design exploration PSD from a previous exercise. You'd have to modify this design to an actual label and carton box - match the dimensions of the bottle & carton, give placeholders for mandatory text etc. Additionally, there are 3 hair strands in the center of this artwork, which we need you to modify. You'd have to make and put in a representation of a single hair strand from the scalp, and an glow outline around it to represent nourishment from root to tip.
Deliverables:
In all 3 projects, the expected outcome is fully editable PSDs of label and die-cut carton box.
The designs have to be as per the dimensions of the bottle, and must have placeholders for mandatory texts.
The bottle used is transparent and has a deep dark oil inside (pic attached). The cap colour can be modified to match the label.
You will also have to share a render of the bottle with the proposed labels to give us an idea of how it'll look.
Dimensions of bottle:
Height: 8.5 cm from base to base of neck
Diameter: 4.3 cm
Dimensions of carton box: 6cm x 6cm x 14cm (lxbxh); Carton will be a tuck in carton.

The time duration of this project is 1 week. All deliverables post iterations have to be handed in, within that timeline.
