- Hi there!
As a short intro, I have been developing a small book that contains riddles/puzzles within a fantasy setting. The book is presented much like an authentic journal that would have belonged to an explorer (think, Indiana Jones). While I have all the work completed for the detailed characters and things, I have a series of about 60 very basic sketches that are being developed that I would like cleaned up and stylized.
You can see a very basic idea in the images attached of the images to be cleaned up. I have also attached a final image that presents the type of character art that will be in the book as well, though in separate manner unrelated to the work needed.
Here is what I am looking for...
Phase 1
1) Image stylizing: In black and white ink, I need the images recreated. I am very open to whatever creative style you have, but I would like it to have the appearance of somebody sketching into a journal. That does not necessarily mean "messy", but no ultra straight lines, computer fonts, etc. The images I have are just flat, but functional for the purpose. For example, I have an image of a dial with the alphabet. I would like it to look more like somebody saw the dial as a piece they found somewhere and sketched an image of it.
2) Text stylizing: (This is secondary, but great if it is something you can also provide) Many of these images have some limited text to them. I am a big fan of penmanship in journals from centuries past. If you have experience with that and can provide it, great. If not, I may have to look to a separate source.
Phase 2 (at a later phase)
3) Background stylizing: Once each of the images is completed, I would need some work done artistically filling up a bit of the white space on the pages in a creative manner. (Eg: Addition of Runes, icons, objects, that would be much like a watermark behind the main image.)
This work would be for a limited amount of images for the first round. Then at a future date, we can work out getting all of the remaining 60-70 images completed.
Please take a look at a few of the sketches shown and get back to me with portfolio, quick mock-ups, or anything that could showcase what you may be able to do with them. I am very open to stylistic ideas, as past people I have hired would tell you.
