- ABOUT SHUGGIE
SHUGGIE is a prestige cosmetics/makeup brand (lipstick, foundation, etc) aimed towards affluent young university-educated and established women of colour. Shuggie is the name of the 16-year old founder of the line, who is a polo player - she wants the brand to be an embodiment of the luxury polo lifestyle.
LOGO: VERSION 1
We desire the creation of 2-versions of the SHUGGIE logo. Version#1 will be something that represents your finest talent. Here you get to come up with something that you feel captures the prestige, glamour and polo sport association the brand seeks to project.
DESIGN RESTRICTION: the sport of polo must be explicitly embodied in the design, and it must be FEMINE (cannot project masculinity).
LOGO VERSION 2:
Here you follow our draft formulation and bring our expressed. vision to life as per provided draft design. We want version 2 to be a Luxury Heraldic logo as per attached draft design, and having the following elements:
#1: HIPPOCAMPI: Wish to use a luxurious and femine image of a hippocampi to represent the brand. This cannot be a typical hippocampi image portraying a ‘monster’. The hippocampi should be glamorous and feminine along the lines of the image below (or better)...hippocampi could be jewelled for example.
#2) DOUBLE POLO MALLET & POLO BALL: to associate the SHUGGIE brand with the sport of polo, it is request that the design incorporates 2-polo mallets, criss-cross with polo ball in centre (as shown in image below).
3) COLOURS:
Our draft proposes making the letter “I” in SHUGGIE red in colour to symbolize the “red” colour of lipstick.
We further propose the colour of “lapsis lazuli” for the background of the heraldic crest.
Propose placing a oversized “white dot” after “Spg” (short-form for Shuggie Polo Girl) and after SHUGGIE to represent the image of a polo ball.
4) LOGO: SHUGGIE (a person)
5) TAGLINE: Polo Girl
(this is "Shuggie's" title - hence below name & in small font to convey ‘polo girl’ is a title)
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
1) Both versions of logo must have:
a). a short-form design (see attached draft)
b). a long-form design (see attached draft)
2). IMPORTANT: The artwork cannot violate any existing trademark or copyright.
Final design must be trademarkable and original.
3). Require jpeg, png, vector and native source files.
4). no design companies please, only interested in individual designers who will bid on the work and do the work personally. We are hiring individual talent based on demonstrated samples of work you have personally done in the past.
5). the best combination of price and talent will win, so please submit your best price.
