- I am launching a London-based jewellery brand, which will initially be limited to a collection of 3 - 6 necklace designs, as well as offering bespoke services. The necklaces will retail at about £450 - £500, and be made from solid Fairtrade 9ct gold (no stones). The brand is designed to appeal to women of 26-35, with an interest in design and things of beauty. The necklaces consist of high quality materials and very simple design - they are meant to be keepsake pieces, and combat fashion jewellery habits. The people who buy these necklaces are primarily looking for high quality, simple contemporary pieces, which are made to last and won't tarnish - they care about where their products come from more and more (in respect of their general consumerism) - they are concerned about their environmental and ethical impact. Brand name likely to be 'Esther Allen' (my name) with a working tagline of 'Ethical Metals' (to be finalised as part of this ongoing brand design).
