- Hello,
I designed an escape room and I would like a comic book of my girlfriend and I solving it.
The way I envision it, as the characters discover a new room or clue there is a detailed view of it to which the reader can refer back when needed to understand what is going on.
Ideally, I'd like to print it so the job would also include doing an art for the cover, also the format I want is 24x32cm. My rough estimate is that it would take about 42 pages.
I'll provide dialogs, pictures of the characters, some sketch of the different rooms and puzzles, as well as the explanation of how each puzzle is solved to make sure we are on the same page.
The page breakdown would go roughly as follow:
- Room introduction by host - 1 page
- Room one discovery - 1 page
- Unlocking cuffs - 1.5 pages
- Room one exploration - 3 pages
- Photo puzzle - 1.5 pages
- Cabinet opening - 1 page
- Poster puzzle - 2 pages
- Trying keys - 0.5 pages
- Police report puzzle - 1.5 pages
- Opening Chest - 1 page
- Using Gun - 0.5 pages
- Opening room two's door - 0.5 pages
- Room two discovery - 1 page
- Room two exploration and object recap - 3 pages
- Discovery of the 3 individual rooms - 1.5 pages
- Link between objects and rooms - 0.5 pages
- Opening chest - 0.5 pages
- Blue and yellow rooms puzzles - 3 pages
- Red room puzzle - 2 pages
- Assembling pole and reaching key - 1.5
- Activating bridge and opening metallic door - 1 page
- Climbing stairs - 0.5 pages
- Room three discovery - 2 pages
- Radio announcement - 0.5 pages
- Battleship audio puzzle - 1.5 pages

Total rough estimate: 42 pages
Happy to pay hourly or fixed but I would like in the quotes an estimate of how many hours you think that would take.
