- I am looking for someone who can create a form from an existing excel spreadsheet. The form should be easier for the user to complete using a tablet but the resulting information back to us should be received by us in excel format. I am not familiar with the programs that you have listed and therefore would ask you to let me know which one you think would suit our needs best.
Currently the spreadsheet is used to update details of jobs carried out by various teams on a daily basis. Each team accesses their own copy of the spreadsheet to update information regarding the daily jobs and the information from each spreadsheet is then cut from their sheet and pasted to a central spreadsheet.
The teams complete the cells in the spreadsheet which includes choosing from dropdown menus and the spreadsheet also has notes fields where they can input text to explain any issues regarding that job - all of the cells across the spreadsheet should be completed but are sometimes left blank in error. Whilst the user should not be allowed to move forward unless they have completed each cell, they should be permitted to move backwards to check the details already input.
The aim of the form is to make it easier for the person inputting the data and prevent blank cells. The form should not allow the person to move forward to the next cell unless the previous cells have been complete. Once the user has completed a form, they should be invited to choose a submit option. If some of the data is missing an error message should appear and remind the user what is missing or incorrect. Once the user chooses the submit option, the data should be transferred to either a spreadsheet in dropbox or emailed to a central email address. The information should stay in the same excel spreadsheet layout as the original excel file
