- Description
- I have full planning permission for the extension and alteration of a detached annex to convert it into a 2 bed house. The work involves removal of the roof, increasing the height of the outside walls by 1.5m to the eaves but not increasing the overall height of the building. Extending the roof over what was a balcony. Extending the property at one end by approx 2m.
Fitting new staircase, windows, doors and 2 x dorma windows in roof for bedrooms and also 1x Velux window in roof for bathroom.
The present building is constructed of single skin concrete blockwork so will need to have a stud work inside to provide a double skin wall with insulation. The ground floor is sold concrete so will need to have a floating floor, timber board over insulation material. The second floor is standard timber beams and floor boards. The roof will be tiled as at present.
