- Hi All,
I am looking for a talented freelance artist to help design a band logo for my band (Moose & The Mops). Currently, we are using an old logo that needs updating. We would like to use this logo on future albums, shirts, my drum-set bass drum, and other merchandise products to help build our brand. The type of music my band plays could be described as a jam band such as Phish and the Grateful Dead. The overall mentality and theme of our music revolves around having a positive attitude and being harmonious with oneself and the people around you. I've included our old logo along with sample moose pictures to give you an idea of what we're looking for.
This project is open to interpretation, but we did have an Idea of the moose in a leaning or stoic position, smoking a phat weed joint (which looks like a cigaret, since we also play corporate events shows) while holding a beer. It would also be cool to include what a "mop" would be. I imagined a "mop" would be a cute little floating head of a moose or deer fluttering around the moose, kind of like a bunch of butterflies. The band's name, Moose & The Mops, also needs to be incorporated within the image as well. This could be in around the image (Look at the Homer Simpson picture), or to the side of the picture like our original logo. If the artist has a better idea for the project, we're very open to hear about it! As I mentioned above, I've included a sample of our old logo, as well as what we generally had in mind, but again this project is open to the artist's interpretation.
Pay is negotiable, but we are not trying to break the bank. We can determine a fair fixed rate given the artist's experience and talent.
