- Description
- Build a container 8 ft long 5 wide 2 high (Box) with panels on all sides that will sit on top of an 8 X 5 aluminum frame trailer.
I need all parts to be made of the lightest material. Panels can be of different material for top and side/bottom but need all to be lightest material
- 8 X 5 X 2 box frame with panels and side doors where I can store various tools that will sit on top of a trailer.
-all made of lightest material. Please suggest lightest material for all parts.
- The bottom panel material will need to handle load of 30 lbs per square foot
- 800 lb load on top of the container. I need to be able to walk on top of the top panel.
Some points
1. The 800 lb. load – will it be on the top of the structure or inside, or?
- 800 lb load on top of the structure. a man should be able to walk on top of it.
- Lower panel will be used for storage and can bear 30 lbs/sq foot
2. What type of panel materials do you want.
- I need a solid panel that protects from weather. Side and bottom panels can be made of different material but top panel needs to enable a man to walk on top of it.
3. Will the cage sit on the floor (do you need leveling feet) or on casters?
Cage and the box it forms from with the panels will sit on top of an aluminum frame trailer that is 8 long 5 wide
Only restriction on the frame is the following
I need the vertical beams for the frame to be 3 feet from back to create a 3 X 2 compartment with door, then beams around the wheel well which is 2 feet wide then next beam at 3 feet to front of the trailer.
This is side view panel door is where I would have 3 foot wide storage

4. roof and storage floor materials are different than the sides.
Yes the roof material can be of different material than side and bottom panel. Roof material needs to be strong to have a man walk on top of it. Side and bottom panels do not need to be that strong.
