- Looking for ghostwriters of Young Adult (teen) books, either a single novel or multiple book series. The books are aimed at teens 12 to 18, while also having crossover appeal to adult readers. They can fall into ANY of the following categories: coming-of-age, mystery/thriller, paranormal/vampires, dystopian, and contemporary. We're not currently looking for science-fiction or high fantasy. The books are typically between 50k to 70k words and completed within one to two months.
Creativity and originality are important!
You are free to write what you love. Coming up with a new, unique story is part of the fun, so we'll get out of your way. Generally, young adult books deal with teen issues, have high emotional stakes, feature a female protagonist and male love interest(s), with strong and authentic character voices. If needed, we'll be able to provide you with additional support and feedback throughout the process.
You must have strong experience in writing books, which means you have a track record of completing at least one book that has been published with good reviews. To help us assess your style, please submit writing sample(s) that best demonstrate your ability.
In addition, you must:
1) have fluency in use of American-style English language
2) have strong writing foundation with minimal grammatical errors
3) are open to criticisms of your work
4) are willing to do edits and changes as required
5) can communicate swiftly and adhere to agreed deadlines
Our standard hiring rate for 10k words is USD $100 for the first book, $110 for the second book, and $120 for the third and subsequent books. Rate is negotiable based on your experience.
If you have a completed book to sell, we may be interested in purchasing the rights from you as well.

Please note: This is a contractual assignment. This means that once the client purchases the written work, you will not retain any rights to the work. The client will have all rights to publish, distribute, sell and generally use the stories in perpetuity in any media including digital, electronic and print. Further, the written work will be published under the client’s name who will retain the intellectual property rights, including copyrights, and the work cannot be distributed or used by you in the future.
The content should be 100% original. Plagiarism will not be accepted. Any non-original work will be returned without compensation and you will no longer be considered for future projects.
