- Hi there! I have a pretty obscure book on Agnostic Spirituality that a few people might have read. I think it's a good book, but then that's what every self-published writer thinks when they spray and pray their crap out there on Amazon, hoping it sticks.
Since I wrote it in 2010, I developed hypothyroidism and the accompanying brain fog, and my creative writing skills have taken a nosedive. What I used to churn out effortlessly in a few hours now takes me months. I think I need a cowriting push from someone who is a creative funny writer and likes to write on topics of spirituality in an objective, non-fluffy like manner (preferably someone agnostic like me - woo woo mysterious types would not work here). The right person would be very logical, analytical, and matter-of-fact but also creative and open-minded. I may write articles both theistic and atheistic in nature, since I waver between the two and my stuff is more about the afterlife or the soul and karma, then "self-help" topics on how to improve one's mood. It's more on debating whether the universe's design is planned vs random, not on how to meditate (which I cannot do because every time I try I get the urge to scratch myself in various places.)
I have many of the articles already written so we would start from there. I am trying to keep them to 600-1000 words in length. I've attached one as an example. Would love to work with someone an hour or two a week on editing articles I've finished writing. I see this as a small but ongoing project where we have coffee together during our Skype sessions and become good friends. Maybe get into how men stink and they don't deserve us (unless you're a man in which case...you're the exception! :)
Wow I'm actually funnier in this posting than I am in my own articles. But I digress. I am open to thoughts on how to do this, I was thinking a 10-30 minute conversation on Skype depending on the need where we brainstorm my approach to the topic and how I might revise it to be funnier. Than I probably go off and revise the article, or maybe you take a shot and then shoot it over to me and we ping pong back and forth. Something like that.
I look forward to hearing your thoughts! FYI, my book website is www.3ChipsOnGod.com and you are welcome to download a free copy of my book in case you're interested, its at www.3ChipsOnGod.com/ebook (not necessary for the project).
Thank you and I look forward to connecting! :)
