- I am looking for Fiction writers!
I need a 5-book series; each book a short 25-page story. This could be in any genre, such as Horror, Thrillers, Paranormal, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Romance, or Young Adult.
Do you especially enjoy writing in any of those categories?
I need to hire some excellent writers who can produce some original content stories for me to provide to our loyal readers on our website.
I am looking for content that would be similar to that found in the book below, which has its own series:

Please understand that I am ONLY looking for unique content, meaning nothing that you submit should be plagiarized or extracted from other sources, especially the book that we included above purely as a reference point. That link is only to give you an idea of what we are looking for. You should be aware that we will check to make sure that no content has been directly lifted from the above example. I don’t mean to sound as though I’m expecting that from you – but I like to lay this all out at the beginning so that there is a clear understanding of how I want this job handled.
Before bidding, please be aware of the following points:
#1. Of paramount importance – As I’ve said, very single sentence must come from your own creativity, and imagination. I do NOT support nor endorse plagiarism from any source. If even if a single line of your content is found not to be original – your content will be turned down and you won’t be paid by us. To that end, you must be willing to sign a contract stating that it was you and ONLY YOU that created the content. (I’ll require you to sign a notarized contract agreeing to this).
#2. I need these projects to be formatted for Kindle e-Readers. This would also include a hyperlinked Table of Contents.
#3. I will own all rights to any finished product once you have been paid for it. Essentially, I will own the copyrights, by-line rights, ownership rights, resale rights and everything else. Again, I’ll require you to sign a contract agreeing to all of this.
#4 I am mainly looking for writers from the USA, Canada, the UK, New Zealand, and Australia. This is because I need your written English to be congruent with a native English speaker’s.
For each story, I’ll require:
Popular characters woven into a 5-book mini-series. Each story must end in suspense, or what the reader would call a ‘cliff-hanger’. In this way, each ending makes a real impression on the reader, and leaves them wanting more, i.e. to read the next book in the series. This also means that there must be a sense of continuity across all 5 books. You would also have to ‘make good’ on what the cliff-hanger suggested or was promised to the reader in the previous book. I want the reader to feel rewarded for staying with the entire series and its characters.
There is also to be no ‘fluff’ and no rambling filler in the content. I want the readers’ attention and imaginations to be captured throughout the duration of these books.
Other important details:
· I’ll need (for each book) a complete 1-page synopsis that details what the story is about (minimum 10 sentences).
· Each book must be approximately 25 pages, in Times New Roman font, 10 Point – and no more than 1” margins all the way around.
· It’s very important to me to find only serious, committed individuals who are truly ‘in their element’ when writing these kinds of stories. This is because I’m interested in finding dedicated writers with whom I can build a business relationship over the long term. I’ll definitely have a lot of work for you as we go along!
· When you are bidding, make sure to add the phrase “I Sit Down to Type” at the VERY start of your message, exactly how it appears. That way, I’ll know for certain that you took the time to carefully read this project’s description and all the necessary details. I’m not prepared to work with anyone who is just bidding blindly and is not seriously interested in the nature of the project.
· As I already mentioned, consider that you should be available long-term, since I’m looking for more long-term writers to assist the aims of our team.
So, summing up, I need you to create a continuous, “5-book Mini-Series”, where each 25-page (+/-) story contains a cast of regular characters – and a few new ones are introduced here and there to keep things interesting and aid character development.
It’s not an essential of this project’s application, but if you’d like, you may show samples of some of YOUR other work, just to give me ideas of your writing style.
Almost there -- just a few more questions!
· Does this project really resonate with you? And have you written anything similar before?
· Would you be available long-term, by that I mean 1 year and beyond?
· Approximately how many 25-page stories would you be truly able to write in the space of a month? Your honesty is appreciated here, as I don’t want you to over-commit, i.e. beyond your normal capabilities. I get that life is busy these days so no judgement here, I’m just sounding you out. I would need 2 of these 25-page books completed per month until the series is completed. So that’s 2 the first month, 2 the second, and a final book in the third month.
As far as pricing, I’m looking to pay $100 per story (book), and you will be paid promptly once each of them is completed, as we progress.
So, that’s it. If all of this sounds do-able and enticing -- I look forward to hearing back from you.
Hoping that we can work together and build that working relationship!
Regards,
Susan
