The essays can come either from already published and royalty free material then edited down to simulate essays on these tests or can be original essays. You can source and choose articles by the same authors that are featured in official material as well as other reputable materials.

For MCAT: Articles should be 550-600 words; have 7 questions each. The AAMC says the breakdown of question types on the real test will be roughly like this: Foundations of Comprehension, 30% Reasoning Within the Text, 30% Reasoning Beyond the Text, 40% -- in older terms, that means Comprehension 30%, Evaluation 30%, Application and Incorporation, 40%.
For GMAT/GRE/LSAT: Articles should be up to 1000 words: have 7 - 9 questions each. 3 general questions and 4 - 6 specific, including at least 1 inference questions.
For SAT/ACT: Articles should be up to 600 words: have 7 - 9 questions each. 3 general questions and 4 - 6 specific, including at least 1 inference questions and 1 except question.
For SSAT/ISEE: Articles should be up to 500 words: have 4 -7 questions each. general questions and specific. We'll want an edited essay plus 7 - 10 questions per essay. We can send you samples of the material to begin the process of research.
