Description: i have a boat which went through a hurricane, the top cover leaked, filled up boat with water. We found out after we got it back from Texas and took measures to fix it. The people took out engine, sent it to have short block remain, and slapped it back together while rebuilding the carb and water propeller system. ran it 1 1/2 hours, trouble, oil on top of engine,doesn't run over 15 miles an hour. did analysis, #3 cylinder has 40 pounds of pressure on one side, took back to boat engine rebuilder (original installer does not want to know nothing about it nor work on it) and found out after the other head removed that 2 more pistons had melted. The concenses of those looking at it was that it was an igition problem that over heater the engine. When we looked at carb it had rust in it and the outside of it was filthy even though it had been rebuilt and we believe the timing was incorrectly set (+ 10 degree dead center)
