We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pre-construction Management & Estimating Project professional to join our team at American Construction Technology LLC. As a Pre-construction Management & Estimating Project specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the pre-construction phase of our projects, including estimating costs, preparing bids, and coordinating project activities.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive analysis of project requirements and specifications during the pre-construction phase.
Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates, considering all relevant factors, such as materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor expenses.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather essential project information and ensure accurate estimations.
Create detailed project budgets and schedules, identifying critical milestones and deliverables.
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to obtain competitive pricing and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Review and analyze project plans, drawings, and specifications to identify potential issues, conflicts, or value engineering opportunities.
Assist in the preparation of project proposals, bid packages, and tender documents.
Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client consultations to gather project insights and address any concerns or questions.
Provide ongoing support and coordination during the transition from pre-construction to the construction phase.
Keep abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in pre-construction management and estimating.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
Proven experience in pre-construction management and estimating within the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and building codes/regulations.
Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, On-Screen Takeoff, etc.).
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Knowledge of sustainable construction practices and LEED certification (desired).
Fluency in Spanish (preferred).
