- Hello,
I'm looking for a web developer capable of coding the index page to my website. I have attached a .png file that represents exactly what I wish for the page to look like. This is an extremely simple page, consisting of a simple navigation header: one of which (T - R - E - X P R O J E C T) will redirect the user back to the top of the page. The other navigation element (Journal) would redirect the user to a separate page, structured in a blog format. I only wish for the index page to be developed at the moment, as I would prefer to see how this goes before contracting the project in its entirety (i.e. cost, communication, reliability). As you can see, the page appears to be static (given that the copyright is pictured at the footer), however, this is just to give you a general idea of what I wish for the footer to look like. I would prefer to have the page be continuously scrolling, but there obviously isn't a way for me to create that in Photoshop/Illustrator. The body of the page would be a simple gallery, which would show recent projects in a grid layout. The current font, included in the .css file, within Photoshop, utilizes Nimbus Bold. However, I am purchasing the license for Nimbus Sans Bold Extended (D), which is the typeface that I intend to utilize on the page. I can provide the package contents of that if I don't get around to switching them out, or for design tweaks on your end. I will also be able to provide .svg files for each image on the page so that they can be upscaled if need be. I've done basic HTML coding in the past, but this is a touch more advanced for my skill set and I just don't have the time to figure it out right now. Also, I am open to the idea of using a CMS, but I'm not opposed to plain old HTML/CSS, as I am familiar with FTP transfer and have the ability to do so.
As I have already stated, this is simply an introductory project to see if we're a good fit. If my criteria are satisfied, we will be able to conduct further business. I am aware of the simplicity of this project and have no desire to "be taken for a ride" so to speak. I apologize for being so direct, I'm just wary of being taken advantage of.
