Background Information:
Hello my name is Grant Hoke. My business partner is Kyle Courtemanche and we are the founder of a company called CollegeWRK. See www.collegewrk.com to see our current website. To give you some background information we hired a freelancer from Upwork to build our website. Due to many negative consequences with this developer we have decided to find a new one to take over the project and completion. The coding is Laravel as well as PHP. We are hoping to find a developer who can finish the booking dashboard part of the website in the most cost effective manner.
Project Summary:
To summarize the project we appreciate the work that has been done for us however the booking functionality is not as smooth as we would like and in some cases does not work properly. We have a booking dashboard that works sometimes and sometimes does not. We would like to hire an expert developer or team of developers who have handled creating a dashboard/Booking process that can book jobs via a dashboard and that gives the admin full control on the backend. We are hoping to find developers who can provide examples of their dashboards they have created as well as booking processes. On the admin side we need to be able to assign/remove workers to jobs. Allow workers to "compete" for jobs. As well as fill out a timesheet.
The process needs to flows like this. The Customer posts a job onto the dashboard. The dashboard shows our workers the open jobs available. Our workers can then compete to work these jobs and they explain why they would be a good fit for the job. Then the admin looks over all of the workers that have applied for the job and pick the best fit. The job moves over to awarded tab. Once job has been completed the worker will fill out their time sheet. The customer approves of the timesheet and the job gets moved to completed.
On the admin side of things we need to be able to assign/remove workers to a job. Message between admin/worker/customer. Be able to manually move jobs or cancel them.
What does the dashboard do: Our website is a dashboard where customers can post jobs and workers can then compete to work those jobs. As admins we will assign the workers to these jobs that we believe fit them best. These job categories include moving, yard work, cleaning etc.
Deliverables:
We would like to end up with a complete dashboard/booking process that has been tested through every scenario to make sure everything is working properly, and that the website will not crash. Kyle and I want peace of mind that customers can come to our website book a job and that we will be notified and can properly operate our business. We are also interested if there is any support after the project is completed.
Existing Assets:
Our current assets include the website as it is right now, which includes color schemes, website copy, logos.
The ideal candidate:
This is the most important section to Kyle and I as we had various issues with our previous developer. He would not complete his work in time and often Kyle and I would have to check every aspect of the site and we would find basic functionality errors. Our ideal candidate is someone who completes their work in a timely and professional manner. English speakers are a necessity as communication and clarity are the most important factor for Kyle and I. The ideal candidate is also someone who can understand our issue and solve it for us with the most cost effective budget. It is also important that the business hours are able to accomodate the eastern time zone.
Timeframe:
Kyle and I would like to get an estimate as soon as possible. This will allow us to see how long it will take to complete the end of our project. Kyle and I would like the project to be completed in a 1-2 week timeframe.
Kyle and i expect to be hiring within 2-5 days. If you message us please have examples of dashboards/booking functions you have created in the past. Some good examples of companies who are doing something similar to us are: TackL, Taskrabbit, Bellhops, Sweeps
