- I am looking to have an app developed to remind my customers of when their car registration is due. Also as a web browser too, compatible with chrome, safari, explorer and Firefox. There will be a link available for the customers to download the app. The app will be compatible with apple and android os.
The web browser version will be hosted on my godaddy server and is compatible with godaddy hosting.
For web browser there will be a log in page for both admin and customers with secure username and password. The customer will have to go to their email address to confirm the email address entered is correct and will be able to request change password if they forget it. On the app just log in for customers with secure username and password. The web version will function as follows, the customer will go to the website and create a username and secure password. When the customer logs in they must add vehicle by providing year, make, license plate number, last 5 on the vin number, date registration expires, and email address they want the email to go to. Each vehicle added can have a different email address assigned to it. Customers can add unlimited vehicles. The purpose of the system is to remind them that the registration is due. They will be reminded 75 days before expire, 60 days before expire, 30 days before expire, and 1 day before expire. After that date passes the original date added to the system will automatically update to the next year. Also the admin will be emailed a copy of each email along with the email address that the customer assigned to that renewal email.
Example , 2001 Toyota Prius, plate number 6DFG123 , Vin # 12235 with email address [email protected] with date 07/14/2019 is added to the system.
On 05/5/2019 they will be emailed (75 days) On 05/20/2019(60 days) they will be emailed etc. etc. etc. After 07/14/2019 the system will automatically change the original date added of 07/14/2019 to the next year which would be 07/14/2020. The subject line of the email also should change to reflect the time left. Example : Your car registration is up for renewal in 75 days in first email. Then changes to 60 days In the next email and so on. The body of the text will include the year, make, plate number and vin number as well. As an admin I can add, view , edit, delete all customer accounts as well as the email address, year, make, plate, vin number and dates entered. I can also edit the body of the text that is being emailed to them. The body should include my logo and a link to my website. The app would function the same way being reminded through app and email.
