- I need an application developed for the following purposes. Might you be interested in quoting for the job? Fro the purpose of this summary, I have named our future program MI. MYOB is the name of the accounting package our application will communicate with using their API. The framework is .net and we would be using an API for an accounting package called Account Right. http://developer.myob.com/api/accountright/arlive-sdk/dotnet_sdk/
I have a specification, database structure and process flow diagrams indicating what I want, and also Excel files indicating the matching of fields for the initial customer. But her is a summary below.
The broad purpose of our application (name MI: MYOB Interface) is to periodically import customer orders from a CSV or txt file (after checking file integrity) into MYOB Account Right 2019 using the API. First, we import the order to our own tables MI.OrderImport and OrderLineImpor (for each item in an order). Then, periodically these orders are collated and sent to MYOB AccountRight Sales register as a ‘quote’.
Each order can contain one or more line items. These are just the items ( or products) that are attached to a specific order.
Fro each customer we import order files for digitally, the import file will be in their own unique format, so we need to match the fields in their order import file to those in our OrderImport table. For this we will use our ImportFileMapping document.
Then , Periodically, MI will check MYOB to see if the quote has been converted to an Invoice (called ‘Open’ in MYOB) by the user, and a Shipping Method selected. At this point, MI will take the Invoice (including all line items) and collate them for the customer group (more notes on this below), placing them in an OrderExport table, and ultimately exporting to a file that is sent by FTP to a warehouse for order fullfilment.
Summary:
1. Periodically, MI checks for new files to import. If an import file is there, we check every row to ensure there are no errors. If no errors, then we import this orders file into MI.OrderImport table. This shows imported orders and their current status in MI, and presents a visual display for the administrator.
2. After the orders are imported to MI.OrderImport, we place the order as a quote in MYOB.
3. Periodically, MI will then have to check MYOB to see when each of these orders is ready to be sent to the Warehouse for fulfilment. An order is ready when an Administrator changes the order type in MYOB to and Invoice (called “open” in MYOB). When ready, an export file is created (as per the ShippingMethod selected)
4. We have to map the columns of different formats. ImportFileMap: One or two for each CustomerGroup. ExportFileMap: One or two for each CustomerGroup.
MYOB Order Map: Only one. It provides a map to convert orders from our OrderImport table to MYOB, and from MYOB to our OrderExport table.
5. A CustomerGroup table has been created in MI because a single Customer Group like Harvey Norman can consist of many dozens of stores, but there will only be one location for the CustomerGroups’ Mapping file.
