We looking for a rockstar Wordpress Designer/Developer with a strong focus on responsive, mobile-optimized Wordpress theme design and development. We leverage both Divi and Thrive Themes as our backend page building platform. Digital Marketing experience a strongly preferred.
The role is about blended abilities - our ideal candidate is a freelancer who knows Divi and/or Thrive in and out, can customize the CSS as needed, and is as much a designer as a developer.

We are looking for someone who loves designing impactful web experiences and building with WordPress. You should have considerable experience working with clients through the entire design & development process. You should be highly proficient in WordPress including custom post types, taxonomies, parent-child themes, custom theme options, customized backend and dashboard, widget areas, etc. You should also be able to write clean, semantic client-side HTML, CSS, and JS to create beautiful, responsive sites.
Duties:
- Facilitate and lead meetings with managers and teammates to identify problems and to determine user and stakeholder needsDeep collaboration on Wordpress design/development projects with management, team members, and vendors
- Design and implement websites from initial concept, site architecture, and user interface to finished deliverable
- Designs responsive, mobile-friendly Wordpress concepts based on strategy
- Performs maintenance and support for Wordpress websitesImplements and assess SEO best practices
- Communicate with project managers in regards to bugs and updates
- Stay up-to-date with new web technologies
- Setup of WordPress options, plugin installation and configuration
- Documentation of your work and proper organization of code so other team members can work with your code
- Provide continued support for sites already launched (troubleshooting, bug fixes, instructional help)
Requirements:
- Expert knowledge of WordPress (plugin / theme development / APIs)CSS/SASS, HTML, HTML5, JavaScript, JQuery, and PHP skills
- Strong experience building websites using Divi and Thrive across the major browsers
- Experience with responsive design/dev practices for mobile and desktop
- Thorough knowledge of Accessibility, including Section 508 and WCAG 2.0 guidelines, and other web standards
- Excellent communication skills, including good verbal and written abilities
- Meet with stakeholders to conceptualize and develop interactive content, generate concepts, gather information and create Web content based on product and customer needs.
- Strong organizational skills, structured thinking and development methodology
- Highly organized and able to multi-task between several projects
- Excellent time management, and strong follow-through skills required
- Ability and desire to thrive in a high-pressure, client-services entrepreneurial environment with limited supervision
- A passion for perfection and a strong attention to detail (pride and ownership of work)
- Experience with web analytics reporting tools (Google Analytics, Moz, GWT, etc)
- Experience with Photoshop

Language Skills:
Fluent in English. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business information and technical procedures. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
