- Description
- The main task is finishing a half developed website. dev.copticsolidarity.org, Internal pages are missing design and linking to configure content. The main page will need some work to speed it up, or remove everything and start again but keep the design. dev.copticsolidarity.org
In details
1- Speed up the home page
1- Donate form from Salsa needs to be embedded, use the same design in the current website for now.
2- Become a member form is not working, use the same design in the current website for now.
3- Sign up for a news letter form is not working, use the same design in the current website for now.
4- Resources Page shows coming soon, remove that for now, use the same design in the current website for now.
5- Events Conferences is empty, use the same design in the current website for now.
6- Meetings page is empty, use the same design in the current website for now.
7- Hearings page is empty, use the same design in the current website for now.
8- Rallies page is empty, use the same design in the current website for now.
9- News Room is empty, use the same design in the current website for now.
10- Press Releases is empty, use the same design in the current website for now.
11- CS release page is empty, use the same design in the current website for now.
12- Reports page is empty, use the same design in the current website for now.
13- Contact us form doesn't show, use the same design in the current website for now.
Needed work:
A) Set up a new Wordpress, export Divi template and make the layout similar to the homepage of this website dev.copticsolidarity.org and export all the articles from the current website. Along with it, we will also check which sections on the home page are requiring a lot of memory, and will send you the list for them so that you can finalise which sections to keep on the homepage.
B) For the inner pages, we will check which pages on the dev.copticsolidarity.org site do not have any content and shall add content on those pages as per the content provided by you. We will also check if any of the pages on the dev site does not have the forms configured correctly. For that, we shall need the Wordpress login details of this website https://www.copticsolidarity.org/ so that we can check which forms plugin are installed on this site. Along with that, we will also check and make a note for broken links/dead links and shall send it to you to provide us the correct links for the same so that we can add them on the site. We will also add the dummy images for the missing images which later can be changed from your end.
C) Work on improving the site speed of the site following the work. The work will rely on purchasing this plugin https://wp-rocket.me/pricing/ This plugin will certainly help in improving the site speed. Next, we would need to purchase a CDN from AWS as it will distribute static resources over different server so when the user will be accessing the site the resources will be delivered from the nearest server loading the site more quickly. Next, we would need to identify which posts are taking longer than others, and highlight them to decide whether to keep them or not. Then we need to identify broken links because of the missing image, and add those missing images to help in improving the site speed. These are all suggestions to start with, but the main delivery is a small fast home page.
D) Finally, after all is done, migrate all the articles from the existing website www.copticsolidarity.org to dev.copticsolidarity.org
