What we’re after:
We’re looking to recruit a driven, confident and technically-minded Technical Manager for our US business, responsible for system management onsite at client events, plus supporting our in-office logistics to ensure delivery of seamless events across the US. Reporting directly to the US Head of Tech & Logistics, the role will include tech management at events, assisting in recruiting and training new tech supports, performing adhoc IT related office tasks, plus communicating with other vendors at events.

This role will require at event work, including evenings and weekends.

Day to Day Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
1. Set up a server and stable local wireless network at the event - configure and calibrate the wireless network (training provided)
2. Set up and manage the Givergy system through proprietary software – configure event settings on server, import client data, test, and monitor during event and run reports at the end of the event (training provided)
3. Trouble shoot any technical issues during the event
4. Client communication as required
Skills required:
1. Proficient understanding of wireless networks (N+ or better certification would be an asset)
2. Plan, deploy and troubleshoot wireless networks – router, controller and access points
3. Set-up and diagnose wireless network connections on a variety of devices – including tablets
4. Good understanding of computer networks
5. Ability to set-up and troubleshoot network equipment and cabling
6. Good understanding of Microsoft Office, Excel
7. Good IT support skills – problem solving skills are crucial
9. Be in good physical health to manage manual lifting relating to Kit and Tech
10. Occasional driving duties
Additional skills would be a bonus:
1. Basic knowledge of Linux, MySQL and database systems in general
2. Basic knowledge of configuring / troubleshooting web servers
