- The main goal of this project is to embed a solid Enterprise Information Management framework in order to effectively manage the data assets of an East African Bank.
More specifically, the objectives of this project are to:
1) Assess the current data management environment at the bank and how it is aligned to business objectives and processes
2) Develop a data governance framework
3) Advise on a remediation road map based on the findings
In alignment with bank's strategic and business objectives, the outcomes of the project will include the following:
• An assessment that documents findings including current information maturity and data management environment
• Strategic view of data and information management
• Proposed data and information governance framework, with full documentation including its structure, policies and procedures
• Review of and recommendations on existing technological infrastructure and business capabilities
• Remediation journey/road map to implement governance framework and other recommendations
The consultant will work on and offsite and assume the role of the technical lead for the project as a data governance expert. Responsibilities include:
1) Assessing the existing enterprise information management situation and define design requirements
2) Taking the lead in developing all project deliverables, guiding and supervising other team member activities
3) Reviewing all deliverables under development prior to submission, accordance to data governance standards
4) Working with the team project director and bank's senior management in developing and recommending a roadmap for data governance at the bank
