Description: I need some calculations for a timber ring beam that my 200mm round log cabin will sit on.

My local Scottish building control are insisting on structural calculations to prove a 30,000kg mobile home (because this is what it is classified as) can be lifted - 6.1m x 16.4m - it never has to be lifted but we must prove it can.

I have full plans showing a provisional timber ring beam for supporting the log walls. So if you are a chartered structural engineer and can send me proof of your registration then I will send you the plans to allow you to suggest the solution and submit your estimate for calculations.
