- Mobile application in android and IOS, for Phones and Tablets to measure food quantity for diet users.
The project is to develop a new (built from scratch) mobile application in android and IOS, for Phones and Tablets with the following specifications:
• This Application aims to determine accurately food quantity (Volume) using some “Augmented reality” simple shapes.
• The app needs a chat feature.
Regarding the AR Shapes, I'm aiming for simple shapes, used as measuring tools for food (e.g. a sphere, a cube, a cylinder, a cup, a plate and a Spoon)
For the chat feature, it will work between the user and support personnel (admin). If they need extra help.
The General idea is, for the Application user, to manually enter the food type and name from a predefined list, and then use his device camera, to take a photo of his food. The Application AV shapes will be used as a reference to quantify the food volume, and tells the user if the Type and quantity of the food is okay or not.
This idea is not to give them the Calorie of Food, or its weight, it uses the food type and volume as an easier way to know what and how much to eat.
The Final outcome is to say if the quantity of food checked is appropriate or more than needed.
The Chat feature is an added tool for the user, if more information is needed, or confirmation of the food volume is needed to be revised by admin, so the photo can be sent and a reply from the admin will be waited for.
Details will be provided later about different food categories and reference volumes
the application is needed to be finished in a maximum of 4 weeks.
