Description: LOOKING FOR CLOTHES FIXERS WITH GREAT ENERGY, BRILLIANT SEWING SKILLS AND A PASSION FOR THE ENVIRONMENT FOR A COUPLE OF UPCOMING PROJECTS.
I work for a recycling company in London and we are passionate about reducing waste, particularly around fast fashion. I am running a couple of projects over Feb & March that I need seamstresses for.
PROJECT 1: Clothing Fixer Sessions In London Offices
I need someone to visit London offices fixing clothes so that people will wear them again and not throw them away (things like re-attaching buttons, mending hems, darning jumpers etc). Ideally this would be about 10 days work during around mid Feb (could be more) We can discuss how best to work.
PROJECT 2: SEWING WORKSHOPS
Looking for someone with great energy who can teach groups of adults how to sew buttons, fix hems, take something up / let it down and any other common sewing tasks. This would involve going into London offices and running 30 - 60 minute sewing workshops. Likely to be in Feb or March, probably around 20 sessions.
