- Description
- General information for the business: We are retailers and online resellers
Database management system (DBMS): Microsoft Access
Description of requirements/functionality: Ms access database for stock taking purposes.
I require a small database built to enable us to scan barcodes, verify and collect the stock.
This will operate on a PC and will be worked via a Remote Desktop application on an iPad and a wireless barcode scanner connected to the iPad.
1. A simple form should contain an input box that the barcode is scanned to.
Once the code is input this code is automatically checked against an SQL table and the 4 pieces of information from this SQL table about this item is displayed on the screen.
When the code is scanned there may be a quantity of this item that will be manually counted and entered on the screen. The default number will be 1. To change the qty to 14 eg I want an up down arrow key with big buttons as this may be used with touch screen. All this information is stored in a access table locally. This should be appended to the table as the next barcode is scanned or a "Finish stocktake session" button is pressed.
All entries should be stamped with time, date and the operator from windows computer login.
On this form there should be a button to look at the table with the entries for viewing and manual edits.
This should be a button on the table screen to return to the form again.
There should be a button on the form to clear table contents with a warning to be careful.
There should be a button to export contents of the table to excel table.
Please contact if more information or sample data is required.
