- I need to solve a well known issue with QuickBooks running on a RDS server and the QBPRINT.INI file which is shared for all users. This file gets corrupted very easily and when this happens users cannot print until the file is deleted and recreated.
I have looked into other solutions but APP-V 5 seems to be the only feasible way to isolate the application so it can run side by side for each user instead of opening multiples sessions on the server and sharing the same subsystem files.
In other words I'm trying to replicate the scenario of having multiple PCs accessing a server where the QB files reside. In this scenario each PC has its own QBPRINT.INI file so there is no conflict and in the event that the file gets corrupted only that client will be affected so there in no need to do anything on the server.
I know how to implement APP-V server and create the entire infrastructure including streaming. That part is not what I need help with. I need someone that has successfully able to packaged QuickBooks PRO / PREMIER (ANY VERSION) and has experience with the very detailed and custom sequencing process.
Sequencing QuickBooks is not trivial task like sequencing Notepad or Word.
