Description
Application (preferably Python or Java) to allow a user to identify the four corners of a scanned map and save the image pixel position along with the image name to a log file for later processing.

I have thousands of scanned maps (see attached) that need to be geo-located. The first task is to set the map to the known map coordinates, based on the map corners. As each map is a common size and scan, a generic offset will set the map close to the correct location, but it then needs to be manually adjusted into place. Commercial software is not set up to do this on a large scale. I require an image viewer, with the ability to zoom to the image corners, capture the map corner edge and save the details, this will then allow me to directly import the map to the correct position. Is this possible?
