Description
Please read this job description thoroughly to understand the role.

We are a Software Development agency focussing on remote work and we are looking for a remote, UK based Mobile Project manager to join our right knit team spread out all over the country. You'll be managing multiple, concurrent, native Mobile app projects, but this is not a developer position, you will mostly be managing developers.

You will be paid £800 per project, per month (A project includes oversight of both iOS and Android) and you'll be managing remote developers whose native language is usually not English. You will get up to a maximum of 4-5 concurrent projects depending on your capability (Meaning a max of £4,000 per month or £48,000 per year). The more efficient with your time you are, the more you'll be able to undertake. There is no guarantee of repeatable or long term work. You will be considered a freelancer and therefore self-employed.

You must be strong in the following areas:

- Project management and experience managing developers.
- Use of tools like Trello, Slack and Jira.
- Strong English communication skills and a willingness to talk over the phone.
- Attention to detail both when writing specifications and mocking up designs based on client requirements.
- Use of platforms like AppCenter for CI/CD flows.
- iOS development experience.
- Android development experience.

Please start your application with "I have definitely read the whole project description" in order to be considered.

Your role in a typical project will look like this:

1) Work with your manager (myself to start off with) and/or the client to capture the requirements of the project. This may involve phone calls.
2) Put together a detailed mockup of the application. (Sometimes you'll work with a designer at this point).
3) Work with developers and answer their questions to help them quote time.
4) Begin production (You'll be paid your monthly fee starting from here - if the project falls through you will be reimbursed for the time you've invested up until this point. This is very rare, however. But it's important to be aware that pre-production is not billable, so it's important for us to be as efficient as possible at this point)
5) Add tasks to task management applications - we normally work on weekly sprints.
6) Review Builds from developers regularly using AppCenter. You will need both iOS and Android devices for this, but we can reimburse you for these (up to a point) if you do not have them.
7) Ticket feedback accurately and precisely after each review. You'll need a lot of attention to detail during your weekly reviews for each project.
8) Once v0.8 is reached open up testing to client engineers and ticket feedback.
9) Once v0.9 is reached open up testing to all client staff and ticket feedback.
10) Push builds to App Stores as well as support launches with client staff.

Over the first few projects we will work closely together as you learn the ropes, and we can help you develop any aspects of your expertise that you feel aren't as strong as you like.

If you're interested please put forward an application.
