- We are looking for someone who can help to create a template for customised map, which we need to vectorise.
We already have the design, and looking for someone to write up geoJSON code to style the maps of areas we are looking to tun into vectorised files. JSON seems to be a solution for an easier and automated way of creating stylised and customised maps.
We eventually want to have an automated system of creating customised maps; for instance, by having a template of geoJSON code to apply the specific style to any part of the map we want (we are looking to use OpenStreetMap as a base), then use something like mapshaper.org to export as svg file, to eventually be able to edit and finalise the design in illustrator / photoshop.
We basically would like to do what is done here, but with more extensive coding to achieve the colours/style of map that we want to create: https://medium.com/@sinclarius/lets-make-some-vector-maps-792481d5f328. Creating different layers is also necessary for editing.)
Obviously, if there is any better/quicker/more reliable solution to achieve what we want, we would definitely prefer that.
We would like someone who can help us come up with a long-term, stable and reliable solution. We want to first have a quick chat with you first to see what you can offer, or someone who can come to our studio in London, Screen share/Skype could be an option.
Please see the attached images for the sort of designs we are trying to create through this project.
Eventually we would like to integrate this into a website similar to sites like mapiful.com where users can customise their own maps. https://www.mapiful.com/editor/location/. But this would be a separate project in the future but if you have knowledge in this area, it would help a lot.
