- We’re looking for a developer who can take what we have and create a SMS ordering platform on Twilio that links to our Shopify store. Customers will be able to interact with a chatbot to order via SMS alone. For example, a customer will purchase via our shopify store with SMS confirmation, and then once we have their account details (billing/shipping/credit card) that account will be linked to their phone number. That customer will then be able to re-order with SMS alone. They will be able text the platform “I want X product” for the platform to confirm via SMS.
The system will be able to take payment without the use of an external link by using data from our Shopify store from their 1st purchase. It will also follow the same protocol for delivery address. Automated messages will be sent with delivery confirmation and tracking.
The stack is: AWS/Lambda/API Gateway/Serverless/NodeJS/Twilio (Twilio Studio). Twilio studios is the SMS side. The code is just a webhook that reacts with Twilio to update Shopify.
This is an ongoing project and once the system is completed we’ll be looking to make adjustments/improvements, totaling a few hours a week maximum.
If you have any questions let me know, we're looking to start this immediately. We have the majority of the functionality built by a previous developer so it would be a case of picking it up and completing it so we can start testing the platform.
