- Create a database to track inventory of raw materials and finished products.
UI includes pages:
1. data entry for raw materials
2. data entry for finished products
3. search/browse raw materials
4. search/browse of finished products
5. reporting / summaries - raw materials / finished products
Some basic functions like:
- From "raw material search/browse" interface, create a "finished product" entry that's linked, and go to data entry form for that finished product.
Standard queries:
- "show all finished products made from this lot of raw materials"
- "show the raw materials used to make this finished product"
- "show all OTHER finished products made from the same lot of raw materials as the current finished product"
- some other simple reporting and tracking - e.g. "inventory shrinkage" for missing raw materials or finished products.
