How to make money on freelancing?

Posted 4 March 2019

So, you’ve decided to leave the office but you still need to eat and pay the bills? Don't get discouraged, become a freelancer!

Fortunately, today there is a great variety for choice: admin support, design and art field, programming, marketing, architecture, engineering, business consultations, financial and legal services etc. And the flexible schedule allows you to leave the full life to do whatever you want whenever you decide.

Analyze who you are and what you want to do. Think over about things that can bring you both pleasure and money. Then measure your skills and knowledge and choose something fitting!

There are few levels in freelancing, ranging by the complexity and specific qualifications.

For the first freelancing level, you need nothing except the desire to earn money and a pinch of efforts.

For example, a transcriptionist is someone who listens to audio recordings and writes them. Besides you can be a personal assistant (for bloggers, businessmen and so on) — administrate their Instagram account, website or social media public according to the content plan, prepare and arrange presentations and webinars, communicate with advertisers or search for partners. Mostly, such employers give personal assistants all the info needed for work. And you can become a technical support manager or call operator both  communicate with clients, accept and process their applications etc.

For the second level you need a little more — some basic knowledge, which you can find by yourself in the Internet or on short-term courses. You may not have experience, but suitable skills are a must-have.

For example,  copywriting of all the types: speechwriting, texts for bloggers and small businesses, video scripts, articles for magazines and diverse communities, seo texts, ads and much more. You need to be able to find the needed information quickly, to process it and to describe your thoughts in a given text format correctly. Sometimes copywriters should know html and css or sites’ admin panels. Rarely — special philology education.

Or you can become a product manager, smm specialist, seo expert and digital marketer as well. You need to be able to work with analytics, track advertising trends, understand how different advertising platforms and social networks are arranged, know how to attract customers and identify the target audience.

Either you can take and edit photos for brands and bloggers. To do this you don’t need expensive equipment, just some basic knowledge about the composition, diaphragm, ISO, shutter speed, exposure, white balance and color-light correction.

For the third level you need a deep knowledge base and experience. The highest and the easiest freelancing way is to work on your direct specialization. So you can not only be an online performer but start a blog or organize personal professional courses.

It’s suitable for diverse professions: translators, teachers, designers, programmers, lawyers, accountants, business analytics, psychologists and so on. In freelancing, like in any office job, the more you know and can do, the more you earn.

Don’t stop an the first freelancing stage, develop your skills, sign up at Beesy.pro if you haven’t done it yet, and start making money with a pleasure!

Nice ranking, but want to add that before you can go out and start looking for clients, youll need to develop a clear picture of who youre going to work best with, not only who you are and what can do.

If you`re new to freelancing, no matter which specialization you`ve chosen, you might feel ready to take any paid work you can get your hands on. But it`s a mistake, as you get deeper into your freelancing career, you will need to start being more strategic about the types of work you do and the clients you take on.
